Katie Riegel and I had a dream of publishing a literary magazine, showcasing established and emerging poets and creative nonfiction writers. In 2007, this dream was realized. Sweet: A Literary Confection debuted with esteemed authors, such as Lee Martin, Stephen Kuusisto, Luisa Igloria, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, and Jon Chopan. Over the past four years, Katie and I--with the help of our extraordinary staff--have continued the original mission of Sweet: to carry on the dialogue between poetry and creative nonfiction and continue to present the best essays and poems we have the privilege to read. 

Sweet Publications, founded in 2011, is our new venture. We want to explore the possibilites of publishing, and because of this commitment, Sweet is dedicated to publishing limited edition handmade poetry and creative nonfiction chapbooks by emerging writers, and also making these books available in all e-book formats.
